MP3 download store 7digital has integrated itself even more closely with music streaming service Spotify to offer one-click access to music purchases.
The latest version of Spotify features a large ‘Buy’ button next to each streaming track. Clicking the button opens a window allowing you to buy the track from 7digital’s catalogue of 8 million songs. The new system means you no longer have to open a separate link to 7digital’s website or even stop listening to your tracks.
Spotify will be hoping the ease of use will encourage more users to buy the DRM-free tracks to keep and so keep the company’s finances buoyant until it can turn a profit.
