KEF has announced details of its new fivetwo series, combining Uni-Q® technology to provide five audio channels from just two speakers.
KEF has incorporated everything that’s been learned in forty-five innovative years of award-winning high-end loudspeaker design into its fivetwo series. The result is a space-saving new series of gorgeous speakers which, as a front pair, will become a 5.1 surround sound home cinema system, avoiding the clutter of six speakers, and all the problems with cables and connectors.
The customer can choose from a seven driver stand/wall-mount (Model 7) or an eleven driver floor-stander (Model 11). Both models have the looks and finish demanded by the modern consumer and will grace any home.
The KEF fivetwo concept is simple. The vertical flat panels behind the main speaker drivers act as rear effects speakers, while the front facing Uni-Q drivers create perfect left, centre, and right speakers – ideal for home cinema applications. The effect is certainly impressive, with pin-sharp dialogue and extraordinary surround effects. KEF’s fivetwo Uni-Q technology disperses sound around the room so well that the user can sit anywhere to enjoy the optimum surround experience.
Available in a choice of either matt silver or high gloss black
finishes and supplied with connection cables for any 5.1 home
cinema receiver/amplifier, KEF’s new fivetwo series is expected to reach the stores in early autumn 2006.
