Imerge – the Cambridge-based pioneer of hard disk home media servers – was the proud recipient of a major technology award at the prestigious InAVation Awards ’09, held in Amsterdam earlier this month.
The award was for Imerge’s newly launched MediaServer MS1, beating off stiff competition from other major server brands to scoop the prize for ‘Most InAVative Video Processing or Distribution Product for Residential Use’. The InAVation Awards is a key event in the custom installation industry’s calendar and the most prestigious event of its kind in Europe. Industry professionals vote for their favourite products in each category, thus delivering an emphatic ‘seal of approval’ to those companies whose products win top awards. The ceremony for the 2009 Awards was held in Amsterdam in early February, just prior to the opening of the ISE (Integrated Systems
Europe) show. “Getting word of winning the InAVation award sent us all into a spin; quite literally,” said Charlie Mertz, Business Development Manager for Imerge. “With the majority of the Imerge team still en route to Amsterdam, thanks to the UK snowfall, it felt like waiting for the football scores to come in via a good ol’ transistor radio.
