Crestron is showcasing the new Media Processing System (MPS) on booth F10 at ISE 2007. Designed as a complete out-of-the-box AV presentation solution for boardrooms, auditoria and lecture rooms, the new MPS series is the culmination of three years of technology innovation. The MPS is a control system, multimedia matrix switcher, microphone mixer, audio processor, and QuickMedia (QM) distribution centre, all rolled into a single, rackmount-ready package.
The series features four models in the range. Installation is simple: just connect source components and display devices; plug-and-play for a fully functioning AV presentation system. Robin van Meeuwen, Managing Director, Crestron UK explains: “We’re looking forward to demonstrating to integrators how the MPS can save them time by providing a ready-to-install control and routing solution. It saves on installation, setup and programming time, and simplifies the project specification process for all types of commercial AV situation.”
Models in the range are the MPS-100, 200, 300 and 400. All MPS models feature QuickMedia routing and processing, seamless system expansion, network connectivity and RoomView remote management capabilities. MPS offers seamless plug-and-play connectivity with Crestron 3-channel amps, touchpanels, keypads, handheld remotes, iLux lighting control and the APAD room controller.
Crestron is also debuting RoomView 7.0, the latest generation of its facility-wide network control software. This new, feature rich, updated version is the first and only real-time, multi-user help desk software to offer complete facility-wide network control of AV resources and environmental systems. The system provides an efficient point-and-click interface and a simple “at-a-glance” view of the entire facility-wide control system network from any PC on the LAN or WAN.
