German amplifier manufacturer Amity Electronic has unveiled its latest dedicated headphone amplifier, the HPA9S.
The new device is intended as an upgrade to the company’s previous HPA4 and HPA7 models and features a completely new electronic circuit board using the SMD technique.
The company promises the HPA9S will deliver 4 ohm output impedance with less than 0.002% distortion and a frequency response that’s flat up to 100kHz. Phase shifting is said to be small at 10-50 hertz to compensate for the slow bass response from most headphones.
The Amity HPA9S is available in either black or silver housings and with either a single stereo volume control or two separate volume controls (one for each channel) for EURO 249.
