Pioneer is working hard to bolster its in-car portfolio recently and its latest addition is an all-in-one entertainment, navigation and communication system.
The AVIC F910BT has no radio tuner, but it does have a CD drawer and include a 3.5mm socket for iPod or other MP3 player connection so you can play it through your car’s speakers.
It will play CDs and DVDs (which could be a mite distracting for the driver) including those containing compressed formats and also media stored on SD memory cards. It also has three RCA pre-outs, so you can connect external amplifiers and additional speakers and subwoofers.
The non-audio side includes a sat-nav system with maps display, plus a Bluetooth module provided by in-car accessories specialists Parrot, which allows you to hook up your mobile phone wirelessly and store up to 400 contacts from three different phones.
Mike O’Mahony, General Sales Manager at Pioneer GB Limited said, “Our AVIC-F910BT is one of the most sophisticated all in one navigation, entertainment and communications systems. It comes pre-installed with 44 European maps, boasts iPod/iPhone connectivity for you to play your MP3s whilst on the move and also make and receive calls whilst being navigated to your destination via its Parrot Bluetooth.”
The AVIC F910T is available now for a penny under £1,000.
