In-ceiling speaker specialists Sonance have announced a new range of custom installation speakers, the ‘Architectural Series’. All speakers in the range use beryllium dome tweeters and beryllium cone mid/bass drivers behind paintable metal or cloth speakers grilles designed to sit absolutely flush with the ceiling.
Also inside is the ‘Sonic Eye’, Sonance’s patented pivoting loudspeaker drivers, which allows users to direct the sound towards the listening area, regardless of where the speakers are placed. In addition, to compensate for any high frequency spikes or troughs if the units are mounted in ‘less than perfect’ locations, the tweeter output can be varied by plus or minus 3dB.
Ashley Hutchinson of Sonance’s UK distributors Armour said: “The Architectural Series in-ceiling speakers are designed to help minimize ceiling clutter. They’re easier to install by way of a universal bracket that allows for mounting in almost all wall or ceiling types, and is adjustable for different depths of plaster or boards.”
The Architectural Series speakers start at £650 per pair, rising to £3,750.
