JVC have announced a very thin 32 inch LCD. The GD-32X1 is only 6.4 mm thin.
CineNow filmed the LT WX-70 in April which is 43mm through out and we thought that was thin!
With OLED still to make bigger screens, the biggest so far is a 27", this new screen from JVC could be a better and cheaper alternative.
Using LED edge lighting and weighing only 5.7kg this screen is set to retail at Y230,000, or about £1400. Expect to see Full HD (1920 × 1080) resolution and 4,000:1 contrast.
The input/output board is on the out side of the unit making the screen 6.4 mm at it’s thinnest point. On board are 2x HDMI, RGB, component, composite, with speakers as an extra option.
Expect the JVC GD-32X1 to start shipping in August.
