SIM2 demonstrated its new flagship 3-chip DLP video projector, the C3X LUMIS HOST, at this years Bristol Show.
A packed show had the SIM2 team very busy showcasing the latest products from the company. We also got to see the very impressive and bright Solar Series LCD screen.
At the show the C3X LUMIS HOST was displayed using an anamorphic lens on a SmX curved screen. The C3X offers a superb native contrast ratio of 35,000:1. We saw the projector had great colour depth which has remarkable light output (3000 ANSI lumens), resulting in images that have an incredibly realistic, almost three-dimensional quality to them.
Also demonstrated at the show was the breathtaking Solar Series LCD screen. The technologies implemented in this £20,000 display deliver an astounding 65,536 shades per colour, smashing the 1,024 shades typical of current LCD displays. The Solar Series offers a theoretically infinite contrast ratio, with measurements of well over 1,000,000:1. This is the world’s first production High-Dynamic-Range (HDR)–enabled LCD display using Dolby Vision technology.
