This years CEDIA Awards are not far away and with that in mind CEDIA UK have announced that an electric string quartet famed for their explosive performances will be on hand to provide the entertainment at the CEDIA Awards 2009.
The band of four, collectively known as Stringfever, promise to excite and inspire the audience at the event which takes place at The Brewery in London on Friday 3 April.
One of the most unique bands around, Stringfever, deliver outstanding performances from genres ranging from classical to modern rock, right through to songs from the movies. During their spectacular show the band encourages the audience to take part and join them on stage; they also juggle between each others instruments – just to add a little more excitement to the evening!
Steve Martin, Chairman of CEDIA, says, “The CEDIA Awards is a celebration of our industry and we want the 2009 event to be a night to remember; and that means some really good entertainment. This band is unique and I am sure they will pull all the right strings and get the evening in full swing!”
Bigger and better than ever before, the CEDIA Awards 2009 are set to showcase best practice in the residential custom installation industry. The scheme was founded in 2006 and has become an important platform for the industry members to share their work and achievements. Tickets for the black tie event, which includes a sit down dinner and entertainment, are priced at £95 per person, or £850 for a table of ten, excluding VAT.
The deadline for Awards entries is Friday 30 January 2009. The full list of categories is as follows:

THE WINNERS
The CEDIA Awards are a celebration of the residential custom installation industry and were established in 2006 to recognise and reward high quality system design, installation and integration within the home electronics industry. Now in their third successful year, they continue to set the standard for CEDIA Electronic Systems Professional members across Region 1.

Each installation category will be judged by an expert panel comprising building industry professionals and journalists from the interior design, architectural and AV worlds.
The trade supplier category will be judged by CEDIA ESP members via an email poll. It is open to all CEDIA members and recognises the top manufacturer or distributor in the industry for standards of service, support, product innovations and training provided to members.
‘Best Shell Scheme Stand at Expo’ and ‘Best Stand at CEDIA Expo 2009’ will be voted for by the Association Exhibition Organisers and awarded separately during the Chairman’s Reception at CEDIA Expo itself.
The CEDIA Awards are open only to CEDIA member companies.
