New Marantz AV Receiver SR6003

Marantz have just released details of it’s SR6003 AV receiver. Marantz has equipped the SR6003 with Audyysey’s Multi_EQ Auto Setup, and also included a smart GUI (Graphical User Interface). Power is provided by seven channels of up to 100 watts.

The Marantz SR6003 has a 10bit video processor called the i-Chips Technology IP00C773 this enables, via HDMI, up-scaling up to 1080p. Marantz’s SR6003 is equipped with HDMI Ver.1.3 enabling you to play Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD.

Digital music fans will applaud the inclusion of the sonic-boosting M-DAX system, while the USB input – which even recognises iTunes tag information this enables control of audio files (AAC, MP3, WAV, and WMA) from the Marantz remote.

Completing the premium look-and-feel it is also supplied with a back-lit RC003SR learning remote. This controller can learn up to 120 codes, is MACRO programmable, and equipped with a smart LCD display.

Marantz SR6003’s analogue audio input takes care of Multi-room needs via Zone A, and also digital output for Zone B, while the ‘three-in, two-out’ HDMI repeater increases the new receiver’s flexibility even further.

Marantz SR6003 home cinema receiver retails for £699.90 and the £700 BD7003 is due in stores next month.
