Philips 50PF7321D : 50" Plasma HD Ready TV

21 février 2007

The Philips 50PF7321D boasts a 10000:1 contrast ratio, which is higher than some similarly priced TVs. Also, it has a side and rear connector location, which is a very good thing. The 50PF7321D can display images that are sharper and more realistic than regular television when connected to a high definition signal. The 3:2 pulldown feature of this unit reduces artifacts that can occur when motion pictures are transferred to a digital format such as DVD.

The 50PF7321D has a native resolution of 1,366X768, which is sufficient to display every pixel of 720p HD content, and all input signals are scaled to fit the screen. While this can’t equal 1,080i models or the new batch of 1,080p plasmas, it still produces a detailed picture that is vastly superior to enhanced-definition (EDTV) plasma sets. Philips includes its Pixel Plus processing as well as a 3-D digital comb filter to improve sharp edges and color representation.
