Optoma HD73 : HD Ready at its best

19 janvier 2007

Optoma was at CES Las Vegas 2007 to present its latest devices including the latest native 720p HD73 home theater projector.

The Optoma HD73 is unlike your usual projector. The Optoma HD73 features a DarkChip3 DLP DMD chipset from Texas Instruments and a *6000:1 contrast ratio with Optoma’s proprietary ImageAI technology. It’s also equiped with the DCDi Faroudja processor and Optoma’s proprietary TrueVivid image optimization.

It also sports the Texas Instrument Brilliant Color technology that adds three extra colors to the coding wheel (yellow, magenta and cyan). It of course broadens the color spectrum and also lessens the rainbow effect that you tend to get with DLP projectors.

Specs:

  • Display Technology: Single 0.65-inch DarkChip3 DLP chipset
  • Brightness (typical): 1300 lumens
  • Contrast Ratio: 4500:1 (Full On/Full Off); 6000:1 in ImageAI mode

  • I/O Connectors: HDMI, DVI-I w/HDCP, Component, Composite (RCA), S-Video, RS-232, IR
