Meridian Audio’s hi-fi loudspeakers are acclaimed by critics throughout the world for the accuracy of their sound. The revolutionary DSP models feature built-in digital electronics and amplifiers so that just one discrete cable is all that’s required to connect them to Meridian’s CD and DVD players.
Now Meridian has applied its expertise to in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeakers for entertainment systems where freestanding models cannot be accommodated. Rigid enclosures minimise wall and cavity excitation: you hear clear, accurate sound from the speakers, not wall resonances. Meridian Audio boasts a 30-year history of innovation and development of the highest quality consumer audio and video systems.
With the introduction of the 200 Series in-ceiling speakers and the extensive 300 Series in/on walls, Meridian proves it’s commitment to superb sound and elegant design. In-wall models are supplied with white paintable grilles, while flush-mount options can be completely hidden behind wall coverings.
A prime goal of these new installation loudspeakers is to offer comparable audio power and quality to Meridian’s freestanding designs, in a compact, easy-to-install form. The speakers can be supplied as passive systems to be driven by conventional external amplification, or as ‘remote active’ analogue systems driven by the G41 Powered Crossover/Amplifier, which includes 8 × 100W power amplifiers and modular plug-in electronic crossovers which can handle up to eight channels of audio.
These impressive Meridian loudspeakers deliver the performance of a stand-alone design in a discreet enclosure with minimal visual impact – and awesome power.
