Here we go to bring you a few select photo highlights of our visit to the immense facilities, particularly the new production unit put in place for the C3X. Our day got started by a complete presentation of their entire catalogue including the new LCD televisions. The Italians just have a way with design like no others, and when combined with performance, like a Ferrari, this makes for an explosive cocktail, which can explain their rapid success.
Starting in 1988 with the brand SELECO, Sim2 Multimedia, founded in 1995, now has a staff of 130 people, of which 35 are dedicated to Research and Development. After their first 3-DLP projector, the HT500, Sim2 decided to show the market its talent and the R&D team invested months in the development of the world's smallest 3-DLP projector, the C3X, which combined the three chip power with the sexy Italian design. Let's see where and how all their product range is produced.

We had the privilege to have our guided tour of the factory floor with Paul Manito, Production & Quality Assurance Manager, who showed us, in addition to the part of the factory created for the C3X, the DLP Domino assembly and test zones, the RTX rear projection TVs, the facilities dedicated to LCD, and the professional monitoring range for video control. He explained the "Zero Default" philosophy for the C3X which takes 12 hours to produce but then undergoes 48 hours of testing... before the 300 units a month that succeed all this get their approval to be put in a "cosy" packaging to be shipped world-wide to the specialized dealers.
Massimo Zecchin, International Export Manager, gave us some more insight into the future developments that we will see in the coming months with the arrival of the new 1080 HD chip. They are going to launch a new HD projector (see our recent interview at ISE 2006) at the CEDIA US in September the 3-DLP Full HD 1920x1080 pixel resolution 1080p, HT-1080.
