Martin Logan new Vantage

25 novembre 2005

The US manufacturer Martin Logan has revealed its latest baby, dubbed Vantage, the look of which brings its older brother Summit to mind.

Actually the Vantage takes the Summit ultra high resolution Xstat, Airframe and Powerforce technologies and “brings them into a surprisingly compact package and price”, the company says. However compact, the Vantage is high (145 cm/57 inches) and quite heavy (23.5 Kg).

The Powerforce bass system is an active one that delivers up to 200 Watts and uses a 200mm ultra dynamic aluminium speaker. It allows a very convincing performance when compared to a passive system. The ultra rigid AirFrame aluminium frame as well as high-res Xstat diffusion panels will charm the most demanding ears. The equaliser and passive filtering allow a 34-23000 Hz frequency response.

Price should be in the area of £2500 each.
