A number of products were shown for the very first time to the UK public at the recent What Hi*Fi? Sound & Vision Show 2005. We are bringing you the opportunity to see what's really hot and also hear first-hand product explanations in the following interviews by the professionals that were making the presentations at the show.
Eric Kingdon, European Technical Marketing Manager for Sony Europe, explains in easy to understand terms the advantages of SXRD and all the other innovations and technologies behind the Qualia 004 that was part of a superb HD demonstration, and then gave us an exclusive look at its new little sister, the real "scoop" of the Salon, the "RUBY" or VPL-VW100, as well as explaining the technical qualities and technical aspects of the Sony's new X90-ED speakers.

Alain presents to us the unique design of the C3X Series, the world's smallest 3 chip DLP projector. He then gave us a close-up look at their special and quite spectacular 2.35 anamorphic lens with a full demonstration of what was a real innovation certainly not to be missed at this year's show.

Maria Williams, Account Manager, Midlands then gave us a look at their complete Plasma line on demonstration including the 42", 50" and 63" models, all HD ready and with the possibility of a separate media box.

On the stand were numerous other products seen for the first time including the AVP700 AV 7.1 Processor, the P1000 combo and their flagship AV9 which will very soon be available.
Click here to see this interview Click here see their standMike Gabriel, Head of Marketing Communications at Sharp shows for the first time in the UK the Sharp Aquos 65" LCD screen, HD 1920x1080, which is the largest LCD in the world actually available as forward orders have been taken for delivery in coming weeks with a pricetag of about 12.000 £. He also showed us the up-market DLP video projector XV-Z12000 HDTV ready using two HD2+ DMD chips boasting a 5500:1 contrast ratio.

Coming in 2006 we saw the prototype 8000X7 seven channel 7x100W power amplifier for Home Cinema and the 8000AV 7.1 Pre-Amplifier with innovative bridge technology.
