A major UK player, now ranking No 5 loudspeaker manufacturer in Europe, KEF announces new releases, namely the KHT6000-ACE and the new i-Q series.
The KHT-6000 ACE is an all-aluminium loudspeaker concept. Simply said, it is another design of those Kef products that are specifically dedicated to the Home Video flat screen TVs. Nice shot, nice design as well… yet this doesn’t come without some improvement and innovation, more precisely:
The Uni-Q system, which is providing more coherence for the sound diffusion The Selecta Mount Concept, which is able to offer an automatic frequency response, depending on WHERE you have chosen to place it: Wall, floor standing, or bookshelf ACE, or Acoustic Compliance Enhancement was made possible thanks to new developments in the cabinet and drivers’ technology The so-called “Bass Extender” concept, which, when installed upon its foot, acts as a Bass Reflex cavity that increases the response to low frequenciesSpecifically, each loudspeaker is a 100 Watts (8 Ohms) capable device, ranging from 100Hz to 30Khz. It is priced at 400 EUROS (approx. GPB 265) each in continental Europe. Another specificity is that every loudspeaker can be located anywhere (i.e. used as a front or rear speaker), with the exception of the center loudspeaker which, by definition, must be located at the very place where one would normally expect to see it: At the CENTER…
The I-Q series goes far back in time… it was first created in 1993, and what you can see today, thanks to our pictures represents the fourth evolution of this very successful family of products. What’s new then?
A new curved design (well that’s trendy isn’t it?) A new finish An improved construction qualityHowever, this all comes with more technicalities, without which there would be no point to announce such a big new series. And they are :
