First HDMI repeater by Ultralink

4 juillet 2005

Transmitting Digital Video signals over long distances is a bit of a problem. Then Ultralink comes, and the company claims that it introduces its HDMI-RPT device to bypass this difficulty. Ultralink claims that the HDMI-RPT repeater is the first product of its kind. It has the same size as a pager, user-friendly and brings true progress.

Earlier devices had suffered compatibility issues in addition to poorly decode/recode video signals. Ultralink's HDMI-RPT does NOT do that; In fact, when positioned at the end of an HDMI cable, the device ensures the capture, equalization, amplifcation, and finally the re-transmission of the of the HDMI signal into another cable, hence without loss in performance.

It is easy to install: the 5 Volt power line brings the energy to the active circuitry. Compatibility is allowed with all HDTV resolutions up to 1080p (included), and with all HDCP compliant devices. Transmission capacity is up to 25 meters at 1080p, or 35 meters at 720p and 1080i.
