Marantz new SA-CD player

30 mai 2005

Marantz unveiled its new SA-15S1 SACD player, the characteristics of which you can read below.

This device is an evolution from the SA-1. It features a Crystal CS 4397 D/A converter and a sophisticated system clock, as well as a mechanism which is coated in black to "eliminate distorsion of the laser". Plus, integrated HDMA modules to provide SA-CD's fast signal processing and high bandwidth requirements.

Marantz insists on the quality of components, the majority of which, it says, have been purpose-built: high-grade electrolytic and film capacitors for the audio circuitry, stress-free electrolytic capacitors and a shot-key diode for the rectifier, while all elements are laid out symmetrically, with gold-plated terminals, shielded control circuits and independent power supplies for each system block ensuring maximum separation, clarity and dynamics.
