Philips enters Wi-Fi LCD market

Philips enters the Wi-Fi LCD TV market with its new 23" Streamium Flat TV, codenamed 23iF9946, which is a 23-in flat screen LCD device equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities.

The Sreamium denomination means that this apparel belongs to a family of products that are constructed around the company's views on digital home. There are other device already available (in Europe), such as WiFi Home Entertainment MX6000i, Wi-Fi MCi-250 mini Hi-Fi system, SL-50i Wireless Audio Link, Wi-Fi wireless MultiMedia Links SL300i and SL400i. "Streamium" increases the scope of home entertainment systems by providing access to multimedia content -online music, movie trailers, music videos, photo collections, Internet games, stored on PCs or directly from the Internet. "Streamium Experiences Broadband" connection allows VIDEO, AUDIO content and IMAGES access via Wi- Fi or wired ethernet connection either from a PC or internet services.
