InFocus unveils new 7210DLP projector

InFocus , a US, NASDAQ listed corporation (NASDAQ: INFS) whose own description states that the house products aiming to “enhance thinking, learning and creativity in boardrooms, meeting rooms and classrooms and delivers superior home entertainment experiences by vividly projecting larger-than-life images from multiple sources including computers, DVD players, and PDAs”.

Their screenplayer division has released a now Home Video screenplay projector dubbed “7210”, which delivers a 2800:1 contrast, improved black levels for a better colour saturation, and a native 720p High-def video. It is equipped with the Texas Instrument DarkChip3 DLP technology, combined with the proprietary 7 segment colour wheel and the Faroudja DCDi 2310 de-interlacer. A Carl Zeiss 1.3 X Zoom -72 mm filter thread- ensures optimised black levels whatever the lighting conditions. It claims 1100 lumens and brightness on screen the size of which can go up to 11 foot width. Eight user-selectable video sources allow for impressive connectivity to a full range of devices, including VCRs, DVDs, component and RGB HDTV, EDTV, standard TV and computers. The InFocus ScreenPlay 7210 also has triggers for screens and 4:3 aspect ratio curtains.

Like other InFocus ScreenPlay projectors, the ScreenPlay 7210 was designed to be user-friendly with a simple keypad and backlit home theatre remote to allow for ease of installation and more time to enjoy the movie or big game with life-size images.

The InFocus ScreenPlay 7210 is available in the UK at the list price of £4,500.
