Cambridge Audio Azur 640H music server

2 mars 2005

Cambridge Audio has a solid reputation for delivering quality products at very reasonable prices. They presented their Azur 640H Music Server at the Las Vegas CES 2005 under the name of 160H . Basically, it consists of the combination of their excellent budget CD player, the Azur 640C, with a 160GB Hard Drive. The manufacturer will begin to ship their newborn in mid-2005.

This device will use their " audiophile" concept that they present as a "suite of proprietary embedded software developed to manage, storage, transfer and playback of music in a real hi-fi environment". Using either Ethernet or a Wi-Fi connection, it will be able to connect to audio libraries on PC and Macs, and transfer tracks to most portable Audio players.

The list price should be around ₤600.
