Las Vegas , NV , January 6, 2005 – “With the introduction of our new Kenwood Fineline™ components, Kenwood is fulfilling its pledge to 'Listen to the Future'", said Dean Hutto, Vice President – Kenwood Home Electronics Division.

The VRS-7200 Kenwood Fineline™ receiver combines high-end home theater performance with striking cosmetic design . Kenwood has developed several amplifier and circuit technologies that enhance the performance of the Kenwood Fineline™ Systems, including an optimized power supply to reduce distortion, produce powerful bass response and improved ground circuitry to eliminate noise. The chassis is designed to negate the effects of vibration and internal shielding has been improved for better channel separation. The VRS-7200 has 100 watts x 6 with Texas Instruments' PurePath Digital Amplifier using high-speed MOSFET transistors to ensure accurate sound staging and imaging. All processing is handled by Analog Devices' 32-bit SHARC™ DSP with floating-point calculation for ultra high resolution.

With virtually every decoding format, the VRS-7200 is the centerpiece of a home theater system for the whole family. Listen to MP3, WMA files and watch DivX movie files on the DVD Player. With Single Zone / Dual Source capability you can listen to music through speakers and play video games through headphones simultaneously. The entire system can be controlled with the Kenwood Universal remote control. The VRS-7200 is available in a silver finish, and has a suggested retail price of $500 and will be available in April, 2005.
