Las Vegas, NV, January 6, 2005 - The new Kenwood DVF-3200-S and DVF-3250 single DVD players will playback almost any type of disc including DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA, JPEG photo discs and DivX encoded movie discs.
DivX, the newest format, allows users to download movies from its website, burn them on a disc and play them on a DVD player. DivX does for movies what MP3 did for music, permitting an entire movie to fit on a CD-ROM disc. According to their website, over 15,000 movies are available, and the list is growing.
For DVD movie playback, both players have progressive scan output with 54MHz/12-bit video D/A converters and 96kHz/24-bit audio D/A converters. Each has composite and component video output and a coaxial digital audio output. The DVF-3200 is available in a flat silver finish and the DVF-3250 is available in a brushed silver or black finish. Both have a suggested retail price of $100 and will be available April, 2005.
