2000 Watts...not Lumens
The world's number one digital projection company, INFOCUS have unveiled their new LP 530. This projector, dedicated to multiple usage, has enough features to turn many of the same ilk an interesting tone of green with envy!
While its 2.6 Kg situate it in the category of "ultra portables", it is nevertheless a true thoroughbred, able to put out an image whose quality, luminosity and finesse put it at the head of the pack, up against a large number of machines of varying uses and qualities.
Being under 3 kilos and with an revolutionary design, the LP 530 puts out 2000 lumens (SHP lamp of 270 watts). It uses DLP light processing technology, using a matrix of micro-mirrors of 0.9 inches allowing it to reach XGA standard resolution - 1024 x 768 pixels, the LP 530 is compatible with 4/3 and 16/9 formats, and will be accompanied with the habitual 16.7 million colours.
All video standards - PAL, SECAM andNTSC are accepted, as well as TVHD signals (1080i/720p).
With a large number of computer and video inputs, permitting the user to connect freely to multiple sources (digital or analogue), the LP 530 uses DCDi technology. Developed by the Sage division of Faroudja, this process, that consists of de-interlacing the video raster (progressive scan), allows the user to have a much cleaner image with much less shimmering, which often occurs when colours are superimposed. It has to be said that this process processes each pixel, an operation that consists of correcting the image and which is applied according to two predefined modes (film and video mode). This technology, originally included with DVD players, works towards the total suppression of effects of movement and "sparkling".
The LP 530 is sold complete with remote control, a plethora of video cables and a deluxe carry-case all this for a mere 6,386 Euros HT
