DVD Audio via MP3

Here are the first pictures of the next DVD audio player by JVC.
The XV-A500 will be the first player by the brand to combine a DVD video and audio player, as well as discs encoded in MP3.
It’s a thunderous cocktail for this latest comer in what is a quality audio family, integrating a series of converters running at 24 bits/192 kHz allowing the machine to read DVD audio discs, accompanied by electronics making it compatible with MP3 recordings. In addition, for Home Cinema use, the XV-A500 disposes of a “double” DTS and Dolby Digital decoder.

It’s also worth noting that JVC have paid attention to include, for the video section, high quality electronics, installing a set of video converters spinning for the occasion at 54 MHz/10 bits.

The XV-A500 is also resolutely turned towards the future, being the first of the brand to have a set of Fire Wire or IEEE 1394 type plugs, allowing for the transfer of audio and video data.
As you may have noted on these photos, JVC has not etched its name onto the machine. It should be underlined that in Japan, the manufacturer sells most of its equipment under the Victor brand name. In any case, the manufacturer is announcing immediate availability (Japan only) at a price of 79800 yen, or around 695 Euros.
