Something new again from Onkyo. The Japanese manufacturer has just announced the soon-to-be-launched DR-2000 System.

Just like its sidekick DRS-2, the new system combines one amplification stage, one complete decoding section (DTS and Dolby Digital) and one DVD Play Compatible with audio CD’s and other CD-Rom’s.

First sold on the Asian market (June 2001), the DR-2000 includes various functions that will most surely overwhelm customers looking for the ideal compromise (ergonomics and over crowding). Meanwhile, while waiting to soon discover it on our side of the globe, following are some images and technical characteristics.
The price was also revealed by Onkyo headquarters who placed its DR-2000 at 68000 yens or about 4400 French francs.
