INFOCUS LP 260

13 février 2001

New from Infocus

After the sensational launch of the LP 350 (see our news of 14th November 2000), Infocus are adding to their range of mobile video projectors with the LP 260, a small LCD machine with a very “sober” design.

This model disposes of LCD Poly sillicium 0.7 technology, offering its user more than honourable performance levels: It includes a UHP lamp of 120 watts (life expectancy around 2000 hours) and has a maximum luminescence of 700 lumens. All this is coupled with an SVGA matrix developing 800 x 600 pixels in native non-compressed resolution, with a highly convincing contrast (300:1) and colour pallet (16.7 million colours).

Endowed with a 28 mm lens, the LP 260 disposes of a zoom and manual focus. It should be noted however that it is only compatible with 4/3 format, with wide screen unfortunately not an option.

On the other hand, the LP260 has a very complete interface:
- YUV (in the form of three cinch plugs),
- S-video (thanks to an Ushiden input),
- composite,
- sub D15 input, accepting RGB in computer format.

Minimal bulk:

- weight: 2.3 kg,
- dimensions: 189 mm (L) x 290 mm (D) x 74.5 mm (H)

It is thus easy to position the machine on a table, just as much as on the ceiling, with a bracket (optional) proposed by the makers.

Sold for the competitive price of 3500 Euros, the LP 260 is available most places where you see the Infocus sign.
