DVDO Air DVDO Air

California’s Anchor Bay Technologies has introduced the DVDO Air wireless HDMI connection system. The system enables the wire-free transmission of 1080p video and 3D images, together with 7.1 channel surround sound, to an HD TV. It connects any source with an HDMI output (Blu-ray player, cable or satellite box, notebook PC, AV receiver or DVR) to an HDMI port on the TV or other display.

Whether sending signals from a couple of feet, or throughout a large room, the DVDO Air promises to deliver high resolution pictures and sound without unsightly cables.

Anchor Bay offers a wide range of advanced video processing solutions that aim to improve image quality on large-screen HD home theatre systems and other video displays. It claims that the DVDO Air’s transmission frequency of 60GHz, well above the range of most other wireless devices such as mobile phones and Wi-Fi networks, should make it interference-free.

Available in a black finish from Karma AV, the DVDO Air retails at £350.
