Onkyo has announced an Android app for its 2011 range of AV products.

The company’s Remote App for Android allows you to stream audio wirelessly from an Android device to your Onkyo hi-fi or home cinema system via your Wi-Fi network. It also offers a range of remote control functions.
You can also use it to browse through networked content without having to look at onscreen menus on a TV screen or computer. You can use the touch-screen user interface on your Android phone to go through menus and control various functions, including selecting your input source as well as adjusting volume and tone.
The Remote App will be compatible with all Onkyo’s 2011 range of network AV receivers, as well as with the new TX-8050. It will be available from next month as a free download from the Android Market.
