Designed to partner its spherical Planet speakers, the tube-shaped Music Centre includes a CD player, DAB/DAB+/FM RDS tuner and wireless connectivity.
The brushed aluminium casing measures 33cm in diameter round and includes a touch-screen front panel.
It can play back tracks held on a USB stick, there are RCA analogue and optical digital inputs for MP3 players, and pre amp, headphone and subwoofer outputs.
It also has networking ability with a 16-bit/44Khz stereo uncompressed 2.4Ghz band receiver designed for lossless connection to a PC, laptop or tablet using a supplied USB dongle or an optional 30-pin dongle for an iPhone/iPod/iPad.
Bang & Olufsen has supplied its switching ICEpower amplification for the Music Centre, and the two 120-watt/4-ohm ICEpower integrated amplifiers are partnered with a 192 KHz/24 bit DAC.
The Elipson Music Centre will be available in the UK from June through Lawton Trading Limited for £1,299. Planet L loudspeakers are available now with optional speaker stands and wall or ceiling mounts. A complete system package option to include the Music Centre, Planet L speakers, USB and iPhone dongles will also be available for £1,799.
