Armour Home has gone big with the latest version of its palm-sized Q2 range of internet radios with the Q2XL, designed to prevent theft.

The new version is a 1m3 cube, with inside four separate 30cm, 100-watt drivers inside.
It uses exactly the same control system as its predecessor, though you’ll need to be a bit fitter to actually use it. once you’ve programmed your four favourite channels into the system you turn the Q2XL onto one of its sides for each of your channels. When you want to adjust the volume you simply tilt it forward or back. To turn it off you’ll need to tip it onto its front.
It even has rechargeable batteries like its desktop cousin, except that these ones are the sort you’d normally find in a car, delivering up to 20 hours of “groundshaking music”.
Armour’s Glenn McClelland, managing director and brand manager for the Q2 range, said: “We’ve received a lot of feedback from Q2 owners telling us how pleased they are with their purchase, but also complaints that it’s so cute and appealing, people keep walking off with them! The answer to this problem is the new Q2XL. It’s designed to be too big and heavy to steal, and therefore perfect for all commercial applications.”
The Q2XL is available from today, 1st April, in the same black, white, green, pink and blue finishes as the original Q2 for £800.
