Onkyo has announced that it will include the Spotify streaming music service on its TX-NR609 multichannel receiver.

The company added that this is likely to be the first of a range of networked Spotify-ready products which are coming soon.
To make use of it, you’ll need a Spotify Premium account, which costs £10 a month, and an internet connection to access Spotify and stream its 320kbps bitrate Ogg Vorbis tracks through your receiver.
The service can be used with any TV or speakers, and you can access your own playlists and starred tracks, as well as browse over 10 million tracks by artist, album or title.
Nick Hamada, Onkyo’s Product And Marketing Manager, said: “This will be an absolute must have for Spotify Premium subscribers who want to hear their music in the highest quality at home.”
The Onkyo TX-NR609 with Spotify is available now for £500.
