Philips has announced three new Blu-ray players due to go on sale later this year.

First up is the entry-level 3000 Series, followed by two 3D-capable machines, the 5000 and 7000.
The 5000 and 7000 players both feature Philips’ new Smart TV entertainment hub, which allows you to stream music and video as well as access on-demand Net TV content.
Also on board the two premium models are features including integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, HD audio decoding, DLNA support and a smartphone remote control app.
The flagship 7000 device also includes Philips’ latest CinemaPerfect HD picture processing technology, which promises a significant leap in picture performance.
The 3000 Series, aimed at the budget end of the market, includes a USB input, is said to be Wi-Fi ready, and capable of delivering HD audio and DLNA streaming.
All three players come with DivX Plus HD certification and promise ‘one of the widest ranges of audio and video formats available’.
