Denon’s flagship AVC-A1HDA AV amplifier and AVP-A1HDA home cinema preamps are to receive a hardware and firmware upgrade offering full 3D pass-through, as well as Audyssey MultEQ XT32, Audyssey DSX and Dolby Pro-Logic IIz.

The optional upgrade will include both hardware and firmware modifications, and therefore needs to be done at an authorised Denon Service Centre. The upgrade will be available from autumn 2011, though the price has yet to be confirmed.
As well as 3D pass-through capability, allowing you to use the amps for 3D movies, the upgrade will also Dolby Pro-Logic IIz decoding for additional front height channels.
Audyssey DSX will also be available, with left and right height and width channels, and Audyssey’s MultEQ XT32 room acoustic correction system for automatic set-up which Denon says is “32 times more accurate” than its existing system.
