German speaker manufacturer Canton has launched a new range of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers with the 800 series. The nine-model line-up is part of the company’s ProHouse range and includes four in-ceiling (circular) and five in-wall (rectangular) speakers.

Each of the shallow models are two-way designs covered by a magnetic grille and featuring ‘swing-out’ fixings and Easy-Link cable clamp contacts for easy installation.
All have aluminium domed tweeters which can be pivoted for optimum performance and include a three-stage adjustment to boost the treble response (+/-3dB), as well as a frequency response up to 40kHz. Canton’s own aluminium-coned drivers provide midrange and bass and both drivers are mounted on Canton’s glass bead reinforced polycarbonate baffle.
Brand new styles for Canton introduced with the 800 series are a single stereo in-ceiling speaker (InCeiling 865 DT), an LCR speaker for discreet home cinema installations (InWall 845 LCR) and a square-bezel speaker (InWall 845 SQ).
Sizes range from 19×27cm (19cm diameter) to 27×37cm (28.5cm diameter) and all models will be available from March, with prices starting at £160 per pair.
