US-based AV furniture brand OmniMount has announced its largest rack to date with the RE42.

The new multi-system rack designed for professional installers joins the RE18 and RE27, which the company claims are the only fully assembled rack systems to ship with cooling fans for equipment ventilation pre-installed.
The RE42 is a 42-space rack made from heavy-gauge steel, and features a standard 19in rack enclosure with lockable tempered-glass left or right-hinged front door and side panels.
Like the smaller models, the RE42 is mounted on casters for easy movement and has adjustable feet. All the rack systems ship fully assembled with pre-configured rack shelving for a wide range of audio and video products allowing for 16in or 20in depth of usable space.
Hal Truax, director of the commercial division for OmniMount, said: “We’ve had development of a 42-space rack in our sights for quite some time now — the market demands it for larger homes and places of business. This piece is designed primarily for those bigger jobs with more than five pieces of audio/video equipment — and while there are competitively-sized models out there, installers will be hard-pressed to find another one that ships fully assembled, with pre-installed cooling fans.”
The RE42 is available now for £916.66 excluding VAT.
