The company has joined with glasses manufacturer Silhouette to make the goggles, which it claims are 25 per cent lighter than standard designs, at just 28g. They’re made of a flexible carbon fibre nylon material and have a removable nose pad, so they can be adjusted to fit adults or children, so anybody in the house can wear them.

They can also be used with standard spectacles, are ready for wireless charging devices, and come with an automatic on-off operation to improve battery life.

Also on show was Samsung’s SWC-1000AC, the company’s first wireless charger for television accessories. It can charge up to four pairs of 3D active glasses using electromagnetic induction.
