The pocket-sized Tizi pulls in DVB-T/DT signals via its extendable aerial then makes it available to Apple devices via Wi-Fi. Its Lithium-Ion battery promises up to 3.5 hours from a single charge and it can be recharged via USB from a laptop or mains power adapter.
To use it you’ll first need to download the free Tizi app to your iOS4 device (previous versions of the Apple operating system are not supported) from the tizi.tv website. The app gives you a TV guide and also allows your favourite programmes to be recorded and stored or copied via iTunes directly to a Mac or PC.
The app is fully compatible with the latest iOS4’s multitasking capabilities, so you can view other apps like email while you keep the audio running in the background.
Equinox CEO Till Schadde said: “With tizi, equinux is once again at the forefront of innovation in the Apple arena. Tizi represents state-of-the-art technology in both hardware and software.”
The Equinux Tizi is available now for £150.
