British DAB expert Pure has announced the ONE Flow, its cheapest, portable internet-connected digital radio with Flow ‘tag and buy’ technology.

Pure ONE Flow Pure ONE Flow

The fifth member of the ONE family offers DAB and FM radio but also uses its Wi-Fi connection to access thousands of internet radio stations and podcasts from around the world as well as BBC listen again content. Also on board is Pure’s selection of ambient sounds such as bird song and the ability to stream tracks from a networked computer.

The radio and streaming facilities are backed up by Pure’s cloud-based Flow music service that allows you to identify tracks playing on any radio station and then buy them directly via your radio.

It comes in a black satin-touch finish with satin-chrome dials and runs on mains power, though it can go portable with up to 25 hours of listening via the optional ChargePAK rechargeable battery for £35.

There are 30 digital and FM presets, kitchen and sleep timers, 3.5mm input for an iPod or MP3 player, two alarms, headphone socket and a large LCD display.

Colin Crawford, PURE’s director of marketing, said: “ONE Flow achieves a new price in premium digital and internet radio. So you get all the benefits of broadcast digital radio, plus new on-line content and you even get access to our revolutionary FlowSongs service to buy music direct from your radio. ONE Flow really will deliver internet-connected digital radio for everyone.”

The Pure ONE Flow is available now for £100.
