The Philips O’Neill headphones features four models, all of which claim to have been ‘tested on animals’, the animals in this case being a team of O’Neill’s testers.

The Stretch headphone claims to be the toughest in the new line-up, made of an ‘ultra durable and temperature-resistant material’, it claims a surface hardness six times greater than the polycarbonate commonly used in headphones (which tends to crack in subzero temperatures, apparently).

It’s impact and stress-crack resistant, has large 40mm drivers and sound-isolating ear cushions plus a tangle-free cable which disconnects from the headband as soon as the cable is caught.

The Snug over-ear headphone also includes 40mm drivers and features bold graphics and a flat-folding design for easy carrying.

The Covert is an in-ear design with inline iPhone microphone and control while The Specked includes a range of three coloured in-ear buds, also with tangle-free cords.

The Philips O’Neill headphones are available now at these prices: The Stretch (£100), The Snug (£60), The Covert (£45), The Specked (£30).
