Sanyo’s PLC-HF15000L is the company’s latest high-end projector, and at £30,000, it certainly should be.

Aimed squarely at the professional user, it boasts a native 2k resolution (2048×1080 pixels) as well as brightness of 15000 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and a four-lamp ‘hot swap’ system.
Sanyo’s own QuaDrive technology is on board adding a fourth panel that controls yellow light within the LCD lens system, similar to Sharp’s Quattron technology.
The projector’s four (count ‘em) 380-watt lamps work together but the ’hot swap’ system ensures that if one lamp fails it’s automatically removed from the operation and can be changed while the projector keeps running.
The Sanyo PLC-HF15000L will go on sale in December with a three-year warranty for £30,000.
