7 septembre 2010

Philips was showing off its new media player at IFA in Berlin, which just happens to be the world’s first MP4 player to run on the Android operating system.

It has a 3.2in touchscreen as well as Philips’ patented FullSound technology for enhanced “cinematic sound” when viewing movies, and comes with Google Mobile applications plus more than 100,000 further apps downloadable from the Android Market.

Also on board is Philips Songbird, a program that allows you to sync music from your PC via Bluetooth or USB. There’s also a built-in camera to shoot videos and still photos, a MicroSD card slot offering expandable memory, Wi-Fi and sound isolating earphones. The screen measures 113×12.6×59mm and it weighs 128g.

The Philips goGear Connect should be available towards the end of October for around £230 for the 16GB version.
