18 août 2010

Free-to-air satellite broadcaster Freesat has announced two new channels for its schedules.

Smooth Radio will be the next addition to the current line-up of 140 channels, bringing its resident DJs Tony Blackburn, Andy Peebles and Graham Deene to the service.

Also on the way is GOD TV, a 24-hour Christian channel which will be available on Freesat channel 694.

The London-based channel launched in 1995 as Europe’s first daily Christian TV network, and now claims to be the leading faith-based channel in the UK.

GOD TV CEO Rory Alec said: “GOD TV is committed to providing British viewers with the highest standard of Christian programming. Freesat will enable more viewers in the UK to experience our unique schedule, with the added bonus that it has no subscription fee or monthly bills.”
