Denon has announced the DHT-1311XP 3D Blu-ray-capable home cinema system.

The system combines the 110-watt five-channel AVR-1311 receiver with the SYS-391HT 5.1 speaker system. The AVR-1311 includes HDMI 1.4a connections (four inputs, one output) that can be connected to TVs and other devices such as Blu-ray disc players, game consoles, and set-top boxes.

There’s full support for 3D pass-through technology, Deep Color and “x.v.Color” as well as hi-res audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTSHD Master Audio.

Also on board is Denon’s Compressed Audio Restorer which aims to improve the sound from compressed sources such as MP3 players, for which there’s a 3.5mm jack input and a dedicated iPhone/iPod dock.

Each of the AVR-1311’s five channels has its own identical power amp and uses technology trickled down from Denon’s higher end receivers.

Speakers include a pair of two-way front and centre units, two full-range surround speakers and a newly designed 100-watt subwoofer with 8in woofer – 650 watts in total.

Flaunting its green credentials, the stand-by power is below 0.5W, helping eliminate unnecessary power usage.

The Denon DHT-1311XP system will be available from September for £450.
