Onkyo has announced two new iPod-friendly micro hi-fi systems in the shape of the CS-545UK and the CS-1045DAB.
The CS-545UKD includes amplifier, CD player, integrated iPhone/iPod dock, DAB+/FM/AM tuner and a pair of D-045 speakers. Also new from Onkyo is the two-box CS-1045DAB (pictured). It includes a tuner/amplifier and a CD player and is available with or without the accompanying D-145 speakers. The CD player uses a 24-bit/192kHz Wolfson DAC and the speakers have a 2.5cm tweeter and a 12cm bass driver.
It offers a total output of 2x 70 watts, sturdy build and design, digital and analogue inputs, a headphone out, MM phono stage and DAB+/AM/FM tuners.
Both systems will be available in either silver or black from the end of August, with the CS-1045DAB on sale for £700 (£600 without speakers) and the CS-545UK for £349 (£249 without speakers).
