20 mai 2010

Pioneer has three Blu-ray home cinema systems on the way. All three offer full HD 1080p video playback (as well as upscaling of DVD), and have connection options for USB memory sticks and iPhone/iPod as well as Bluetooth and DLNA-connected devices.

All are profile 2.0 with BD-Live functionality with 12-bit Deep Colour and support for Dolby and DTS HD audio.

Pioneer BCS-303

The basic model is the BCS-303 5.1 system which comes with four mini satellite speakers, a slimline centre and separate subwoofer, powered by a total of 1,110 watts.

The more discreet BCS-FS505 is a 2.1 system with two slimline front speakers that can be arranged either vertically or horizontally and a subwoofer delivering a total of 570 watts across all three channels (2×180W, 210W for the sub).

The daddy of the group is the BCS-707 which makes use of four slim floorstanding speakers plus a small centre and subwoofer. It can crank out 5×180W plus 210W for the subwoofer (total 1,110 watts).

No firm word on prices yet, but the BCS-303 and BCS-FS505 are expected to be under the £500 mark, while the BCS-707 should be under £600.
