Budget audio brand TEAC has announced a combination iPod dock and lamp, the SR-LUXi FM LED.
The ‘tabletop audio lamp’ is a hollow square with a dock in the middle, an LED light surround and a dual drive speaker system. The light can be integrated into the alarm system and programmed to begin lighting either ten or 30 minutes before, or at the time of the alarm using its three-step dimmer. There’s a snooze button too for when you’re not quite ready to get up.
Each of the speakers is encased in a separate chamber and there’s a bass reflex port to help with low frequencies as well as an EQ with a series of settings for flat, pop, talk, classic, jazz and rock.
It’s compatible with all iPod and iPhone models, including charging while playing, and also features an FM radio tuner with ten presets. It’s supplied with a remote control and a series of iPod dock adapters.
The TEAC SR-LUXi is available now in pearl white finish for £99.
