Peerless has announced three new ranges of HDMI 1.4 cables as well as a 1.3 version.
Top of the bill is the Omega (pictured) which promises ‘ultimate’ performance and includes a solid brass head-shell, black mirror finish with chrome inlay and 24-karat ‘hard’ gold cable contacts. It also has oversized silver-plated PCOFC copper conductors and comes in either 1m or 2m lengths for £130 and £150.

Next is the Sigma series of interconnects which includes HDMI, stereo RCA, digital coaxial, digital optical and Scart models. Again available in 1m or 2m, the HDMI 1.4 versions cost £70 or £90.
The ultra-thin, 2m Slimline is designed for connecting to wall-mounted TVs and has a 90 degree connector at one end that only sticks out 14mm from the rear of the screen once it’s in place. It’s just 3mm thick and offers HDMI 1.4 and Ethernet connectivity for £60.
The Delta series comes in 1m, 2m, 3m and 5m lengths in nine different cable options, including HDMI, component, Scart, digital coaxial and digital optical. The HDMI 1.4 version comes in 1m or 2m lengths for £40 or £50.
The entry-level series is the Alpha and it’s the only one which isn’t HDMI 1.4, instead offering HDMI 1.3b in 1m, 2m or 5m lengths as well as component, Scart, digital coaxial and digital optical options. All are double-shielded with OFC copper conductors.
All the Peerless cables are available now.
